The inaugural golf outing held last week was a resounding success, filled with excitement, camaraderie, and friendly competition. Under a clear blue sky and gentle breeze, brothers from near and far gathered at the picturesque Rock Hill Golf Course for a memorable day on the links. Among the participants, Brian Voos and Frank Poulin demonstrated exceptional skill, while Brian Slevin and Kenny O'Conner showcased their accuracy in the closest-to-the-pin contest. John Driscoll and Dan Zecchini proved their mettle with extraordinary drives, securing victory in the longest drive competition. Let's dive into the highlights of this unforgettable event.
Victory:
The day started with a buzz of anticipation as golfers eagerly awaited their chance to conquer the challenging Rock Hill course. After Tim Grant's inaugural drive for the club (shank) seasoned golfers Brian Voos and Frank Poulin, known for their precision and focus, put on an awe-inspiring performance. Their impressive skills on the fairways and greens, showcased their exceptional technique and strategic approach to the game. Brian's unwavering concentration on the long game coupled with Franks impressive short game led this the two-man scramble team with a score of 71 (even par). Their accomplishment garnered admiration and applause from fellow golfers, establishing them as a force to be reckoned with on the fairways and around the greens.
Brian Slevin and Kenny O'Conner in Closest-to-the-Pin:
The closest-to-the-pin contest injected an extra dose of excitement into the event; Brian and Kenny emerged as the victors. With laser-like precision, Brian executed a remarkable shot on the par-3 7th hole, landing his ball just inches away from the pin. Not to be outdone, Kenny displayed remarkable accuracy on the par-3 17th hole, leaving his shot mere centimeters from the target. Their remarkable shots elicited cheers and applause from the onlookers, showcasing the exceptional skills and composure of these gifted golfers.
John Driscoll and Dan Zecchini Dominate the Longest Drive:
Long drives have always been a source of admiration and friendly competition among golfers, and this outing was no exception. John and Dan showcased their raw power and skill by launching monstrous drives that left everyone in awe. Dan's drive on the challenging par-5 2nd hole soared majestically through the air, covering an impressive distance that left others in his wake. Not to be outdone, John's powerful swing on the par-4 10th hole saw his ball sail gracefully down the fairway, surpassing all others in length. Their remarkable feats earned them well-deserved recognition as the winners of the longest drive competition.

Beyond the competitive nature of the event, the inaugural golf outing was a fantastic opportunity for the brothers to come together and forge new bonds. As putts were sunk, drives were launched, (and balls were lost) the joy of the game and the sense of camaraderie became evident, making this inaugural outing a remarkable success. The day was concluded with our first 50/50 raffle. This weeks winner was Owen Grant.
