As the sun blazed down on a scorching 90-degree day, members of the All Hands Golf Club gathered for a short 9-hole round of golf followed by the eagerly awaited inaugural new member inductions & club BBQ.
The golf day kicked off at the prestigious Rolling Oaks Country Club. Amidst the lush greens and challenging fairways - made more narrow by tree limbs and branches that ate many a golfers balls, the highlight of the day was the 2-man scramble competition. Tommy Vanasco and Charlie McGroary emerged as the victors, clinching the best score. Tommy's triumph marked his first win, while Charlie celebrated his second. The entire club extends their best wishes to Tommy for his upcoming knee surgery, hoping for a swift recovery.
Following a hot morning on the golf course, the All Hands Golf Club continued the festivities at their club president's residence for a BBQ feast and refreshments. The air was filled with anticipation as members eagerly awaited the new member induction ceremony.
Before the induction ceremony began, the board announced the addition of two new members to the executive board, Dan Maurer and Kevin Cash, expanding the Gold jackets circle to a total of six. This move was met with applause and excitement, setting the stage for the main event with graduation ceremony music in the background.
First came the unveiling of the Class of 2023 Club Jackets. A stunning burgundy, paisley club jacket stole the show. Kenny O'Connor couldn't hide his excitement, exclaiming, "I love this jacket! I'm wearing it everywhere!" This new addition to the club's tradition promises to be a cherished symbol for the years to come.
The main event of the day was the induction of 27 new members into the All Hands Golf Club, bringing the total membership count to an impressive 33. The induction ceremony was a momentous occasion. As the new members received their jackets they were also presented their black club poker chip, presented in true challenge coin hand shake fashion. You may ask,"What color will next year's jacket be?" The anticipation for the future is already building.
Looking ahead, the All Hands Golf Club is gearing up for their next outing scheduled for September 19 at Middle Island, with the exact time to be announced.
In closing, a special shout-out to Frank Licatta and the team from 50/19 for their dedication in organizing the 343 bike ride and supporting Building Homes for Heroes. Additionally, another shout out to club president Brian Voos for his outstanding work in orchestrating a memorable new member induction ceremony and a great club party and BBQ.

All of these men have earned the right to be a member of All Hands Club! Congratulations from the Executive Board.
