Celebrating another day of Golf Excellence: The 3rd All Hands Golf Club Outing

In the world of golf, there's nothing quite like a day spent on the links with the Brothers. The 3rd All Hands Golf Club outing was no exception, as members (and potential members) came together for another memorable day of camaraderie, competition, and unforgettable moments. Before diving into the details of this recent outing, let's take a moment to acknowledge the remarkable achievement of our club President.

A Stellar Shot: A Hole-in-One to Remember

Last week at Rolling Oaks, our esteemed club President accomplished something truly extraordinary—an elusive hole-in-one! While there were no human witnesses present, the remarkable event was verified by a curious group of squirrels and a majestic Canada goose. It was a testament to the magical nature of golf and a cause for celebration within our ranks.

The Thrill of the 2 Man Scramble

Moving on to the main event, the 2 man scramble proved once again to be a fantastic format that fosters friendly competition and a wide range of ball breaking. The winning duo of the week was none other than John Driscoll and Kenny O’Conner (even without his lucky socks), who displayed exceptional skill and teamwork to shoot an impressive 71. Notably, their score tied the 2023 record previously set by Brian Voos and Frank Poulin during week one, adding an exciting element of rivalry to the outing.

Closest to the Pin Triumphs

As always, the closest to the pin contest brought out the best in our golfers. Eric Schmanski and Duane Marcy, a guest of Frank Lacotta, emerged victorious with their impressive shots. Eric's precision led to a remarkable landing only 6 feet away from the pin, making it the closest shot of the year thus far. These moments of accuracy and finesse remind us of the mastery required to excel in this beloved sport.

Powerful Drives and Friendly Competition

Longest drives are always a crowd favorite, and this week's winners did not disappoint. Frank Lacotta and Brian Voos showcased their impressive skills by launching powerful drives that left us in awe. In a friendly twist of fate, Voos managed to outdrive his own uncle, who happened to be in the same foursome, by a mere 1 foot. Such friendly rivalries and displays of talent are what make our outings truly memorable.

Celebrating Winners and Special Moments

The day's festivities extended beyond the greens, as Tommy Nap, a guest of Brian Voos, walked away with the grand prize in the 50-50 raffle. The joy and excitement were palpable as the participants reveled in the shared experiences of the day. We would also like to extend a warm welcome to Brandon Phillips and James Hodges, who joined us for the first time. Their presence added an extra layer of enthusiasm and fresh perspectives to our outing.

A Grateful Acknowledgment

Last but certainly not least, we must express our gratitude to the boys of 50/19, who graciously stepped in to cover for the Bagpipe boys, who were unable to attend this time. Their support and dedication ensured the smooth running of the event, and we are immensely thankful for their contribution to the club.

As the 3rd All Hands Golf Club outing came to a close, there was an overwhelming sense of satisfaction and camaraderie in the air. It was a week filled with remarkable achievements, friendly competition, and cherished memories. We look forward our future outings, where we can continue to strengthen the bonds of friendship and celebrate the sport we all love. Until then, keep swinging those clubs, and may each stroke bring you closer to your own moments of golfing glory!
