Middle Island July 25, 2023

Week 6 of the All Hands Golf Club in 2023 was an exceptional week that brought together a record number of players, making it one of the most vibrant and memorable outings to date with a total of 28 participants. The day was made even more special with the presence of four esteemed special guests: Kyle Mastrelli, Anthony Mastrelli, Austin Sullivan, and Kevin Yoos. Notably, Kyle is the son of Anthony and the nephew of Scott, adding a familial connection to the event.

The All Hands Golf Club expressed its gratitude to the Mastrelli family for joining the outing, extending a warm welcome to them. Looking ahead, the club is encouraging its current candidates to bring guests of their own for future outings (FDNY or not).

The club continued its tradition of celebrating American pride during its two July outings, and Week 6 was no exception. Golfers donned red, white, and blue attire, and American flags proudly adorned almost every golf cart. The sweltering weather added to the intensity of the day, mirroring the fierce competition that unfolded on the course.

In the highly anticipated two-man scramble competition, it was a family affair with Scott and Kyle Mastrelli emerging as this week's victors. Their seamless teamwork and skillful play secured their place at the top of the leaderboard, leaving a lasting impression on their fellow golfers.

The long drive competitions were fiercely contested, with John Driscoll and the talented young gun, John Waldron, taking home the well-deserved titles. Their powerful and precise drives showcased the immense talent within the club.

In the closest to the pin contests, it was Frank Poulin and Dan Maurer who proved their precision and accuracy, impressing everyone with their pin-seeking shots.

The excitement extended to the 50/50 raffle, with Tim Grant being the fortunate winner of the prize. His luck added an extra dose of cheer to an already vibrant day. And man, can that guy write… look out chat GPT!
