Week 4 - Middle Island

Week 4 at The All Hands Golf Club was a memorable day filled with camaraderie, friendly competition, and a few surprises. The day started off on a patriotic note with the ceremonial National Anthem, setting the tone for a great outing.

It was Mike Leo’s first day out with the club, and his presence sent a ripple of fear through the local wildlife. Canada Geese were petrified, and squirrels wisely chose to remain hidden from sight.

John Driscol showcased his exceptional skills and emerged victorious in both long drive contests. His powerful drives left everyone in awe and added a competitive edge to the event.

The closest to the pin contest also brought forth outstanding performances. John Hansen and Mike Scire demonstrated their precision and finesse, earning them the honor of winning the closest to the pin contest for Week 4.

However, the most intriguing twist of the day came with the two-man Scramble competition. In an unprecedented turn of events, the teams of Joe Cunningham and Eric Schmanski, as well as Pat Whelan and Mike Scire, tied for the victory. This led to an exciting decision by The All Hands Golf Club: both teams were crowned winners for the week, but a showdown between them will be scheduled to determine the true champions.

In this upcoming match, the two teams will be paired in a foursome, competing against each other for the ultimate title. The stakes are high, as the losing team will have to forfeit their hat clip and be stricken from the record books. This thrilling match will take place when all four players are attending a scheduled outing, ensuring an epic battle between the deserving contenders.

The club also expressed its gratitude to Joe Murphy, this weeks guest who filled a last-minute opening.

Finally, the 50/50 raffle added an element of excitement and anticipation throughout the day. The lucky winner of the raffle was Frank Licatta, who walked away with the prize and a smile on his face.

Week 4 at The All Hands Golf Club was undoubtedly an eventful and memorable outing. From the impressive drives to the nail-biting tie in the Scramble competition, the day showcased the club's commitment to fostering camaraderie, friendly competition, and a shared love for the game of golf.
